A squirrel monkey (Saimiri sciureus) photographed by me in a varzea forest along the Amazon River in the outskirts of Manaus in 2019.
Seven-thousand-year-old Amerindian parietal art at the Pedra Pintada archeological site in Barãos de Cocais, Minas Gerais. Depicted here are a deer and a canid, the latter likely a hoary fox (Lycalopex vetulus) or a crab-eating fox (Cerdocyon thous). I visited these paintings in 2015 while collecting at Serra do Caraça.
Me sitting on the Transpantaneira road in 2015 while examining a cowpat for dung beetles. And I succeeded: some Canthidium and a Gromphas lacordairii were feeding on the dung and were duly collected.
